Selous Safari Tanzania is 4 days safari departs from Dar es Salaam, which will take you to visit one of the world's and Africa's largest protected wildlife area, this pristine,the famous Selous which is larger than Switzerland. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1982 due to the diversity of its wildlife and undisturbed nature in the largest unexploited game reserve. Some of the activities guests can enjoy are combination of Boat Safaris, Game drive and Walking Safaris combined with undisturbed nature. Your Selous safari will start and end in Dar es Salaam. You will spend 3 nights exploring the area where you will see small and large mammals including variety of bird species and reptiles
Arrival In Dar Es Salaam : Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. On arrival in Tanzania we will transfer roughly 1 hour to your hotel. You`ll have a short time to freshen up, and then have a briefing.
Our briefings will give you a clear view of the days to come from your personal guide and CEO, also you will be told your exact crew numbers and make up as well as get a chance to ask any questions.

Pick clients from the place of staying in Dar and drive to Selous Game Reserve with packed lunch,the journey will take about 5hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania.Arrive Selous in the afternoon on time for the boat safari, where you'll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat.

Selous Game Reserve :
Awaken to a beautiful dawn on your first morning and head out on a foot safari in the area around the lodge crossing through open woodland and rich riverine forest, using our hides along the way to study bird and mammal life and to get your first experience of the splendour of Selous. In the mid afternoon, perhaps after a swim in the cooling waters of the Sable Mountain pool, you will head out on your first game drive exploring the north west area of the reserve well known for its large elephant population and home to the rare Roosevelt Sable antelope. Plains game are plentiful, there are three established lion prides in the area and wild dogs are regular visitors.

Selous Game Reserve :
Starting once again at dawn, you will head out for a picnic breakfast on a wonderful extended game drive across a magnificent changing landscape to Lake Tagalala. From your boat, you will explore the extent of the lake famed for its massive crocodile numbers, rare birds, including African skimmers and the only recorded Humblots heron on the entire continent’s main land. Game driving back to the lodge for a late lunch, you have an excellent opportunity to see large cats, wild dogs and an extensive list of ungulates including Eland and Greater Kudu as well as large numbers of the more familiar mammals. The late afternoon offers you the chance to visit the excellent tree house at Sable Mountain and see which animals visit the water hole.

Selous Game Reserve to Dar Es Salaam.
After breakfast, drive back to Dar es Salaam (a 5 – 6 hours drive) with lunch on the way, arriving in the late afternoon, and take you back to the hotel/catch your flight back home (breakfast & lunch included).
