Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short briefing, you’ll set off toward Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. This park is home to an array of animals, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. You’ll spend the day exploring Tarangire’s beautiful landscapes and observing its abundant wildlife before heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire to Central Serengeti – Big Cat Territory

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive towards the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Highlands and a stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for a stunning photo opportunity. As you enter the Serengeti, you’ll be greeted by the iconic rolling plains and vast open savannas teeming with wildlife. Central Serengeti to Western Corridor

Today, you’ll continue your journey westward toward the Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park, a prime location to witness the Great Migration during the dry season (May to July). As you traverse this region, the landscape transitions from vast open plains to riverine woodlands and acacia-dotted savannas. By midday, you will arrive at the Grumeti River, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather before attempting the perilous crossing. Crocodiles lurk in the waters, while lions and hyenas wait at the riverbanks, making this one of the most dramatic events of the migration. Enjoy thrilling game drives along the river before heading to your camp for a relaxing evening.

Full-Day Game Drive in the Western Serengeti

Spend the entire day exploring the Western Serengeti, focusing on the Grumeti River and the surrounding plains. Depending on the movement of the herds, you may have the rare opportunity to witness a migration river crossing. Enjoy a final game drive in the Western Serengeti before making your way back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you’ll have another chance to spot wildlife, including cheetahs, lions, and elephants. By late afternoon, you will reach the lush green highlands of Ngorongoro, where you can relax at your lodge overlooking the breathtaking landscape.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Return to Arusha

On your final safari day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an incredible wildlife experience. The crater is home to an astonishing variety of animals, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, and leopards.
