Tarangire National Park :
Your safari adventure begins today. Your guide will drive you to your first stop, Tarangire National Park. This is a far less visited national park on the circuit so you can enjoy some spectacular wildlife sightings in this vast wilderness with lower visitor densities. As you enter the park and game drive through it, you’ll pass huge herds of elephants surrounded by open woodlands and acacia trees. Your base for the next two nights is Tarangire Treetops camp. After settling into camp and enjoying a delicious lunch on the deck, you will spend the rest of the day exploring the ravines and swamps which are teeming with wildlife. Passing the Tarangire River, watch in astonishment as you witness an enormous herd of elephants, ambling along the riverbank. It is common to see herds of up to 300 elephants in the dry season here, so you will really get a sense of the magnitude of these giants.

Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area :
After your morning in Tarangire, you have the option to visit a Maasai Boma en-route (at extra costs), before continuing your journey to reach Ngorongoro Forest for relaxation and overnight stay. This is your prelude to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. Nearly three million years old, the ancient caldera of the once-volcanic Ngorongoro shelters one of the most beautiful wildlife havens on earth, ringed with towering walls and sheltering forests, grasslands, fresh springs and a large soda lake. Later in the afternoon you will reach the lodge where you will relax for the evening.
Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge : The location of Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge provides relatively quick access to the Ngorongoro Crater – it's a five-minute drive from the lodge to the entrance gate of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. With smart, spacious accommodation, very good food using fresh ingredients, and real attention to detail, this a popular choice for many travellers.
Other Possibilities : Farmhouse Lodge, The Highlands & Plantation Lodge
Meals : Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park :
Leave very early in the morning for game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the Ngorongoro caldera to view the wildlife on the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called “Africa’s Eden” and the “8th Natural Wonder of the World”. A massive extinct volcano, the sheet walls drop thousands of feet to a “Noah’s Ark” of animals on the verdant floor below. Large herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist.
Leave the crater after lunch and continue your journey to reach Serengeti National Park. Enjoy your luxurious suite in the middle of the wilderness, complete with a private plunge pool. There is no better place to spend your honeymoon in the Serengeti.
Lemala Nanyuki Tented Lodge : The camp is located in the central Serengeti, just outside of the busy Seronera area. The region is known for its high numbers of big cats and is typically home to the wildebeest migration. The camp seems to be stylish and well run, with a high-end finish.
Other Possibilities : Serengeti Pioneer Camp, Nimali Serengeti & Taasa Lodge
Meals : Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
Full Day Central Serengeti National Park :
Tasty breakfast then depart for game drives in the Serengeti plains. Focus on a safari in the Northern Tanzania circuit during this season should be on the Serengeti southern short grass plains and Ngorongoro eco-system. The annual wildebeest migration arrives on these plains from December onward. It is here where they congregate and give birth to thousands of calves in February and March. These mineral rich plains are where the great herds stay for as long as feeding permits. Apparently the iron and zinc found in the fodder of these plains is what the wildebeest are after.

Full Day Southern Serengeti National Park :
The Ndutu area and southern Serengeti are the best place to be from December to March for the annual wildebeest migration. Wildebeests and zebras return from the north to give birth to their calves in the rich plains of the southern Serengeti. Half a million calves are born here each year, making it the best place and time to see baby wildebeests and baby zebras. The movement of almost two million wild animals is the driving force of the ecology of most of the Serengeti eco-system. Predators follow these herds like sharks following a shoal of fish. Great wildlife viewing is guaranteed because the young animals make easy prey. Spend your day in this park with “plains that never end”.

Serengeti Plains to Zanzibar Island :
Enjoy your last morning in the wilderness, before getting dropped off at Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar (ZNZ). On arrival, transfer to Stone Town where you will spend your evening relaxing at the beautiful Park Hyatt Zanzibar hotel, located at a waterfront heritage site. Exotic and mystical, evocative of the centuries of sultans, traders, adventurers and explorers who came to these magical isles of Zanzibar off the Swahili East African coast, leaving a cultural and architectural fusion which echoes its proud history of Persian, Arabian, Indian, Colonial and African influences, Stone Town is now home to the Mashariki Palace Hotel. This is the Eastern Palace on the islands, once the seat of the Omani empire spanning a thousand miles, created by the first sultan of Zanzibar almost 200 years ago. The domicile of the Sultan’s religious councillor is now restored beyond its former magnificence. Because the hotel is converted from the wing of the old palace, there are no two rooms the same. Each has its unique and stylish features, either original or enhanced.
Park Hyatt Zanzibar hotel (Deluxe King Room) : Park Hyatt Zanzibar is a high-end, luxury hotel in a great Stone Town location. A chain of international hotels, Park Hyatt Zanzibar is one of the largest, and the most luxurious, properties in Stone Town. Situated on the seafront and just a stone’s throw from the town centre it provides a relaxed retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded alleyways of Stone Town.
Other Possibilities : Swahili House, Tembo Hotel & Zanzibar Palace Hotel
Meals : Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
Zanzibar Stone Town :
The largest town in the archipelago, Stone Town was named for the coral stone buildings that were built there largely during the 19th century, on the site of a very old fishing village. It is a fine example of the Swahili coastal trading towns of East Africa, containing elements of the cultures of Africa, the Arab region, India as well as European influence over the past millennium. The history of Zanzibar would be incomplete without the cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, curry leaves, lemon grass, turmeric, cumin and coriander seeds that make this island famous. Take an optional tour (fees extra) at a spice plantation in the morning, and go for a self-guided walk in the historical Stone Town in the afternoon. Then, relax at your hotel, or go for an evening swim at the infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Zanzibar Stone Town to Kendwa :
Kendwa is located at the northwest coast of Zanzibar, about 3 km from the northernmost tip of Nungwi. There is little difference here between high and low tides so swimming is possible any time of day. There may be some cloud and wind and quick rainshowers from November to June but the sun is usually out and the weather very pleasant. The beach is fine white sand or ground shells, the water turquoise blue, the sunsets spectacular and the local boat activity picturesque. You can spend your days lazing on the beach, enjoying the amenities at the resort, or relaxing at the comforts of your own private bungalow.
Zuri Zanzibar (Ocean Jacuzzi Bungalow) : A luxurious, beach resort situated on Zanzibar's pretty north-west coast. This area of the island has a more steeply shelving coastline than Zanzibar's east coast, allowing you to swim in the sea throughout the day, and the west coast of Zanzibar also enjoys beautiful sunsets over the Indian Ocean.
