Tour Itinerary
Morning: Depart for Marangu & Coffee Tour
Your journey begins with a comfortable pickup from Arusha or Moshi, followed by a scenic drive through rolling hills, banana plantations, and lush green landscapes toward Marangu Village. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the friendly Chagga people, who will introduce you to their centuries-old traditions.
You’ll start with a guided tour of a local coffee farm, where you’ll learn about the traditional coffee-making process—from harvesting and roasting to grinding and brewing. Get a chance to prepare and taste your own cup of fresh organic Kilimanjaro coffee while enjoying stories about the history of coffee farming in the region.
Midday: Chagga Culture & Underground Caves
Next, you’ll visit a traditional Chagga homestead and museum, where you’ll gain insight into the Chagga tribe’s history, way of life, and resilience against Maasai invasions. Explore the ancient underground caves, once used as hiding places during tribal conflicts, and hear the fascinating stories behind them.
After lunch, you’ll embark on a short hike through lush vegetation to reach either Ndoro or Kinukamori Waterfalls, depending on the season. The trail winds through banana and coffee plantations, with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day.
Upon reaching the waterfall, you can relax, take in the stunning views, or take a refreshing swim in the natural pool at the base of the falls. The area is rich in birdlife and offers peaceful surroundings—a perfect place to unwind and connect with nature.

Evening: Return to Arusha or Moshi
